📄SQL · five queries

▸ The clearest test
▸ Joins, the short version

If the data lives in the database and you're filtering / joining / aggregating it, that's SQL. If the data is messy, comes from multiple sources, or needs logic — that's Python.

https://sqliteonline.com

Only mental model you need

A database is a collection of tables. A table is a spreadsheet — rows are records, columns are fields. Every query is the same shape: "Give me [these columns] from [this table] where [this condition is true]."

That's it. That's 90% of SQL. Everything else is variations on that pattern.

SELECT column1, column2
FROM table_name
WHERE some_condition;

Clause order — burn it in

SELECT → what columns
FROM → what table
WHERE → filter rows
ORDER BY → sort the result
LIMIT → cut to top N

Five aggregates

  • COUNT(*) — how many rows?
  • SUM(column) — add up a column
  • AVG(column) — average of a column
  • MIN(column) — smallest value
  • MAX(column) — biggest value

Ten apps pretended
to run your life.
One finally does.

The Grid is one surface for your journal, tasks, habits, food, training, people and money. It connects them automatically, so nothing falls through.

Write the way you think.
The Grid does the filing.

Mention a person, drop a task, check off a habit — all from inside your daily entry. The Grid reads the line, lifts each piece out, and files it where it belongs, still linked to the moment you wrote it.

Every module is a real page.
Not a widget on a wall.

Each one is a tool you could ship on its own — categories, filters, history, the works. This is what opening them actually looks like.

Tasks

A real task manager,
not a checklist.

Categories, priorities, due dates, recurring and subtasks — as a list or a board. And anything you wrote inside a journal entry lands here automatically, still linked to the day.
